GREENER HOME REBATE SUMMARY

Must be Homeowner’s PRIMARY residence 

To be eligible: MUST complete a pre and post EnerGuide evaluation. 

• MUST keep all documents including invoices for as long as, and up to March 2028.

REIMBURSEMENT eligibility: 

Up to $5,000 towards retrofit 

+ $600 rebate of the EnerGuide evaluation. Must be done through GREENER HOMES rebate.

DOCUMENTS to provide: all work to be complete by homeowner 

• Pre and Post evaluation documents
• All invoiced and document sheets of the retrofit (hold until March 31, 2028)

ELIGIBILITY CONSIDERATIONS:

If had an EnerGuide audit before April 1 2020 – need new one 

If had an Energuide audit between April 1 2020 – Nov 30 2020 – will not be refunded that audit  cost 

If have had an EnerGuide audit After Dec 1 2020 – WILL BE reimbursed the audit cost

Homes 6 months old or newer DO NOT QUALIFY IN ANY OF THE PROGRAM

WINDOW ELIGIBILITY: 

Retrofit and/or New Frame installs are eligible (glass replacement, sash replacement is not)

$125 rebate…ER += 34, U factor 1.22 or less 

$250 rebate… ER += 40, U factor 1.02 or less 

Forest City Window & Door eligible windows:

All North Stars with exception to DH in larger sizes.

($125 rebate)

All North Stars in triple pane with exception to larger DH sizes. ($250 rebate)…. Consideration  for triple pane rebate – average increase in cost goes up $200 before tax, sizes are typically  limited based on weight of window with a third pane of glass. 

North Star Patio door will count in most cases as well, unless custom.

Door systems (GENTEK, KV) may not be included at this time as they are not listed neither  tested under NRCAN or Energy Star.
